People come to therapy for lots of different reasons and want different things, and therefore I am flexible and collaborative in my practice. I understand that people face different issues and pressures and have different tolerances and resources, therefore I take a holistic approach in understanding the unique experiences and lives of my clients.

Crisis
Sometimes we hit crisis and need support and intervention as a matter of urgency to prevent harm to self or other. Please note that I do not offer a crisis service, if you or someone you know needs more immediate input, there are a number of sources that you can access for support more quickly:
GP: You can talk to your GP.
A&E or 999: If you feel unsafe and worried about what you could do, you could go to any A&E department or call 999 who will offer you help.
Samaritans: If you need someone to talk to, the Samaritans offer a helpline that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can call them on 08457 90 90 90. They also offer a drop-in service. More information can be found on their website: www.samaritans.org
Childline: This helpline (0800 1111) is free and offers confidential support to children and young people under the age of 18. More information can be found on their website: www.childline.org.uk
Papyrus: This helpline (0800 068 41 41) offers support to teenagers and young adults who are feeling suicidal. More information can be found on their website: www.papyrus-uk.org
National Domestic Violence Helpline: Available for support and guidance 24 hours a day 0808 2000 247. Additional information and support around domestic violence can be found on www.refuge.org.uk
