Next Steps & Contact

If you think that I may be able to help, then the next step is to make contact with me.  You can do this by phone or email. I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation which will allow us to discuss your reasons for making contact and I can answer any questions you may have.  We may also decide to arrange a first session.  This gives you the chance to decide if my style and expertise fits your needs and I get the chance to find out a little about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from it.  We can then decide together whether I am the right person to help you.

I believe that the basis of any therapeutic work is a strong and safe relationship that enables the client to be open and honest in a non-judgmental and understanding environment. Whether you have had therapy before or not, taking the first step to start therapy can feel like a daunting one. You may feel unsure of what to expect or whether it will be right for you.

It is important to find a therapist and a way of working that is right for you and therefore there is no obligation to commit to therapy until you are sure that it is the right ‘fit’ for you. I believe that the process of therapy should be transparent, flexible and collaborative to allow you to get what you need from the process.
